USM 37th Convocation 2008 from Event to Oval

On the 14th to 17th August 2008, USM held their 37th convocation in the campus itself. There were many people around busying with their duties......Families were seen enjoying themselves during the event. Many stalls were set up from food stalls to souvenir stalls.......there were even horse riding and children playground.

For this assignment we are suppose to take pictures of the whole event from the beginning till the end. My friends and I took many pictures whether in the morning, noon ,after class, at night and even when the workers took down the tents.....!

Production Model

On the 13th of august 2008, it was the first day for our lecturer Mr Wan Burhanuddin Wan Abidin to come into class after 3 lessons from Dr Kausar Hj. Ali. It was an interesting class, different from the others and i enjoyed it....

The first question our lecturer asked us was ' What is "production"? '
The students sitting in front were his targets......one of the students answered that a production is a PROCESS.......
and yes the lecturer agreed with him......

Mr Wan gaves us an intro about PRODUCTION which consists of 6 elemens which are:
1) INTENTION
2) ACT
3) PRODUCT
4) ACTOR
5) RULE
6) SITE

First of all what is "INTENTION ''?
Mr Wan mentioned about explicit-implicit
construction-destruction
good-bad

it's about something that u want to do but not done yet.....something which is like explicit(clearly and fully express) and implicit (something which is not express) or dealing with construstion and destruction and even good and bad stuffs.With intention one will come out with plans where then actions will take place to produce a product and so on..........

intention (it comes from the brain and heart)

Next we talk about knowledge......" WHAT IS KNOWLEDGE? "
Knowledge is a product of a certain act which involves the actor and this requires listening and seeing.

We were told that we see whatever that in on earth....then have a heart to understand which then we can remember it for life......

Mr Wan also asked us '' is human from monkeys?''
'' or from Adam?"
and different students gave different views based on their knowledge.

knowledge (knowledge can't be calculated, it's from our past experience.....there's one malay saying that goes, 'kalau kita banyak harta, kitalah yang perlu menjaga harta tersebut tetapi jika kita banyak ilmu, ilmulah yang akan menjaga kita)

Next it's about the '' RULES ''
it's a type of understanding...ideology which we usually use words ended with "....isme "...... with rules in our life we will know what is right and what is wrong....so it's important to have rules around us so that our life will be more systematic.

the lecturer even discussed with us { if no right no wrong = altruism}
{ all wrong = cynicism}
{ all right = relativism}

for those who always seek for the truth and its a compulsory for them to know the truth are call the " truth-seekerisme "

in the " taoisme " it is said that we do not have to search for the truth, throw away the lies and the truth is there.......

wow we learnt alot of words ending with ''.....isme '' that day! haha.....

a rule is fix ( right means right and vice versa)

the lecture was then continued with the the role of an actor
What is an '' ACTOR '' then?
an actor may be a " pelaku, tukang laku, penghasil, tukang hasil "
or may be a professional example the engineers , doctors, lawyers etc.
and even a particular individual or an institute.

actor can be anybody, you, me, them, and even Cik Wan

Next Cik Wan continued with the explaination on "ACT "........
In bahasa Malaysia we called it as "laku, buat, laksana, tindak"
an action can be done alone or in a group.......

act (we are doing actions everyday,depends whether it's a good act or a bad one)

When it comes to " PRODUCT " of an production it can be physically, mentally and even spiritually.....

product (it's important to capture attention of a buyer with a good product)

Last of all the lecturer touched about the "SITE"
a site can be hot, cold of moderate
there are two type of site...the real sites example land, floor, table and even on the paper....
while for the virtual sites it may include a dream and website......
